Players
How do I join a session?
Browse sessions at /sessions, pick one, and tap “I’m in” or “Text me the details.” We’ll send you a confirmation text with the time, location, and a link to cancel if your plans change.
Is Live Ball free?
For now, every session on Live Ball is free. If a host adds a cost later, you’ll see it on the session page before you join.
How do reminders work?
You’ll get a text 24 hours prior to the session and another 2 hours prior to the start time. Hosts can also send updates if plans change.
What happens if the session is full?
You’ll join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, we’ll text you an offer with a countdown timer. Accept it before the timer runs out to claim the spot.
How do I stop getting texts?
Reply STOP to any Live Ball text. You can also tap “Not your number?” on a session page to sign out.
How do I give feedback on the app?
We’d love to hear from you. Send us a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Hosts
How do I create a session?
Tap “Create a Session,” fill in the location, time, level, and max players, then verify your phone. You’ll get a host link to manage the session and a public invite link to share.
How do I add players manually?
Open your host link, scroll to the player list, and tap “Add a player.” Enter their name and number and we’ll text them the details.
When is my session listed publicly?
Public sessions appear on /sessions once at least 3 players have joined. Until then, only people with your invite link can see it.
Can I edit a session after creating it?
Yes. Use your host link, tap “Edit session,” change the details, and save. Players will get a text if anything important changes.
How does the waitlist work?
When a confirmed player cancels, the first waitlisted player gets a timed offer. If they decline or the timer expires, the offer moves to the next person automatically.
How do I message everyone?
From the host page, tap “Message players,” choose Everyone, Playing, or Waitlist, and send your text. We’ll deliver it to that group.
